Welcome all to the CLAC 2008-2009 season. This season we have introduced a new Fee Structure. The new fee structure is an all upfront payment system compared to partial payment as in previous years. Registration fees are as follows:
1st Athlete $90
2nd Athlete $80
3rd and subsequent athlete $70
The extra $25 covers the $2 weekly fee charged in previous years, which will be scrapped this season. The new fees system is discounted compared to previous years and based on a 3 child family, you will be paying $58 less than last year, assuming full attendance at all 18 club competition days. The main reason for doing this is to streamline the running of the weekly program, so athletes and/or parents are not queuing to pay the weekly $2 registration fee, freeing up athletes, parents, committee members and coaches to get the program under way. There will still be an information desk setup to field enquiries, collect information on upcoming events and register as a volunteer helper for the day.
The committee is also down on numbers this year, so rather than have all our experienced people sitting at the table counting $2 coins this should free people to help with coaching and officiating.
The governing body of Little Athletics in Victoria, VLAA has introduced an on-line Registration and Payment system for parents to register their children this year.
Whilst payment can be made online, the Centre will also accept payment via cheque or cash. If parents pay online, the Centre will be charged an administrative fee (imposed by VLAA) of 6% of the total paid e.g 3 children $240 @6% = $14.40. If parents pay via the Centre (Cheque or cash), then the Centre pays 6% of $120 ($40 per athlete) = $7.20.
The Centre will be absorbing this additional surcharge this year, without passing it onto members. Online registration is compulsory this season, however online payment is not. We urge all parents and athletes to register online, however please DO NOT PAY ONLINE, rather print off your registration form and bring to the Centre on registration day and present payment.
