Information for this weekend

This year's Eastern Metropolitan Region Track & Field Championships will be held on February 16th & 17th 2008 at Knox Park Athletics Centre. (Melways Ref 73 D6) Good luck to all those Collingwood athletes competing. We hope you enjoy the competition and hopefully do some big PB's!

An updated event timetable is now available here so please double-check what time your event is on. Due to the large number of entries resulting in additional heats, some times are different to those previously published in the State timetable
Parents and carers of athletes, please check here to see what time you are rostered on for officials' duty . Please make sure you report to either Heather Jarvis or Andrew McAdam (Collingwood Team Managers) at least 10-15 minutes before you are due to go out on duty. We need to know you are there and give you an official's tag to wear out on the field.
On arrival at the track, look for the Collingwood banners. We will most probably be camped in the grandstand. All athletes need to check in with the team managers to be issued with a competition tag. Please also make sure you have plain black shorts to wear with your uniform. No logos on shorts or socks please. You can use black gaffer tape to cover up logos on shorts if required. Spikes can only be worn by U12's and up, and must be conical and 7mm maximum length. Please note that athletes are not allowed to wear spiked shoes with the spikes taken out.
Make sure you are there at least 20 minutes prior to your event for marshalling. Half an hour is better.
If you have a clash of events, please talk to team managers Heather Jarvis and Andrew McAdam to make sure the appropriate forms are filled out and handed in at Marshalling. Track events take precedence over field events.
Finally, remember the weather is due to be hot on both days - so make sure you remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty to drink.
Any queries, call Heather Jarvis on 9486 7587 or 0432 455 155

GO COLLINGWOOD!
